At the moment my life seems to be split into thirds. I'm conflicted between accepting a teaching position, going to medical school, or leaping into a more creative endeavor.  The first two paths offer long-term stability and positions in which a lot of good can be done, the third path, what can I say about it, it makes my heart flutter, my soul roars, I mean it's the thing that has always been consistent in my life. There's relatively little risk involved in pursuing the first two paths and a seemingly unknown black box of risk in the third path. What makes this decision particularly difficult is something many of us can identify with, uncertainty.

So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 11:9-10

So I turn to God. I'm in the process of deep prayer for discernment and direction as to what the Lord wants me to do. When we feel lost or uncertain we must remember that there is someone who has the answer for us. God wants us to seek Him. He's promised to be there with and for us. There's no need for us to stress alone, or at all. This past month has truly been teaching me about trusting God, His timing, and His purpose. He will align things in His time. I have to trust His process and know that each step is imperative. So go ahead, pray, ask, seek, knock and when the door opens be courageous and walk-in with faith.
