The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
Psalms 19:9

Today I was surprised with a day off from work and swiftly decided to enjoy the amazing weather. Where else should a girl go but the beach? There's nothing like a weekday break to the ocean. I seriously mean that. There's less people and more time to appreciate the great wonder and beauty of God's creation. Off I went with my swimsuit, snacks, towel, and journal in tote (a cute vintage straw tote I might add). Sun and Sunshine.

Just like God's grace, my beach day was unexpected and filled with glorious wonders.  The above scripture crept to mind reminding me that even though it was a surprise to me to get today off, the Lord decree had already made it so. It was a refreshing reminder that God knows best. To say that I needed this break would be a gross understatement, but the Lord saw the need and decreed His grace in my favor.

While gazing at the clouds and soaking in the sun rays I realized that I am blessed and HIGHLY favored. It just takes a moment of reflection to realize this and today was just that. Pure and enduring is He.

I don't always get days like today, but I can try my best to create these moments with God. We all need more of them.
