A Chic Solo Trip to New York City

Last summer I treated myself to sweetest little solo trip to New York City. This was my second visit to the city, my first was back in 2015 with my mom. I've been dreaming of going back and sauntering slowly through the streets and discovering sweet nothings on my own. And this trip was blessed from the start and such a beautiful little voyage that I constantly re-watch my SnapChat memories of the moments I recorded. I'm definitely looking forward to more petite adventures away from home, especially now that I have this experience to better prepare me. On this post I'm sharing my preparation process and my 3 day itinerary with all the necessary details. I hope this inspires you for your next trip or to take a little solo trip of your own. Please comment any questions you might have and happy reading and dreaming.

Unapologetic and Sincere: International Women's Day 2018

This post seems obligatory on a day like today when we celebrate all it means to be a woman. Beyond just recognizing this new wave of global feminist movement, today is a day for each of us to reflect on our own personal journey of becoming the woman we've always imagined. This ongoing and enduring discovery is one I've always loved and today I share why and some great resources to further each of our own journeys.

God is Faithful

How amazing is God’s faithfulness? Just when things look like a total lost, when all hope seems gone, He’s there to light the way out of the wilderness. God is amazing. And this week I was reminded of that. Life doesn’t always make sense, most of the time it feels like we’re lost in a desert of confusion and questions. But God makes a way, we may not always understand why certain things happen, but we can trust that His  plans are for our prosperity. And to that I shout Amen.

27 Years of Single: Reflections on Love and Life

I’ve been single my whole life. For reason I’m unable to fairly articulate I needed to write this post. In the 27 years I’ve been alive I have not had a man. In that whole time I’ve dated a handful of times.  Knowing I’m not alone in this makes it easier to write about. As I near the end of my season (drought? life?) of singleness I thought this the best time to reflect on the journey. I’ve read a few articles on the value of enjoying this period of being single and I wanted to share my experience because it’s unique, uncommon, although not rare.
