God is Faithful
February 16, 2018
How amazing is God’s faithfulness? Just when things look like a total lost, when all hope seems gone, He’s there to light the way out of the wilderness. God is amazing. And this week I was reminded of that. Life doesn’t always make sense, most of the time it feels like we’re lost in a desert of confusion and questions. But God makes a way, we may not always understand why certain things happen, but we can trust that His plans are for our prosperity. And to that I shout Amen.

27 Years of Single: Reflections on Love and Life
February 14, 2018
I’ve been single my whole life. For reason I’m unable to fairly articulate I needed to write this post. In the 27 years I’ve been alive I have not had a man. In that whole time I’ve dated a handful of times. Knowing I’m not alone in this makes it easier to write about. As I near the end of my season (drought? life?) of singleness I thought this the best time to reflect on the journey. I’ve read a few articles on the value of enjoying this period of being single and I wanted to share my experience because it’s unique, uncommon, although not rare.

In Pursuit of Peace
February 12, 2018
As I sat under the trees writing in my journal at the park I couldn’t help but take in all the wonder around me. Families playing, couples walking, and the occasional squirrel darting across the grass. All encased in a backdrop of a sunny afternoon. The sun was getting ready to set and my soul was captivated by the shear peace of it all. In the midst of a challenging week filled with personal, financial, and professional problems I made a choice to pursue peace.

And if not, He is still good. Yesss! I needed to read that scripture message this week. A reminder that I won’t always understand why certain things happen, but I can rest knowing the Creator is always good. And as a new month begins it’s even more imperative that I live in the truth that God is working for my good. He loves me this I know.
