The highlight of my week comes from late Wednesday night at the gym where I was able to run half-a-mile. Yes, you read that correctly, half.  I certainly don't have to convince anyone that I'm not a runner, but this is a personal milestone for me considering that I couldn't run at all in January. When I say run, I'm not talking about an adrenaline hike, fight or flight running, but pace by pace running. I've never been an active person and I din't set out to be "active" in 2015. It's not a "new year's resolution" or a goal I penned. It just kinda happen on its own, organically, and I could not be more happy about it. So running that half-a-mile was a big motivation to keep pushing and pushing. I don't know where this will lead, besides to better health and fitness, but the journey so far is a bountiful blessing.

What I'm Loving:
  • Voluspa Cut Glass Jar Candle
    • I picked up this candle on a weekend trip to Anthropolgie and I am almost half way through! I have never fallen in love with a candle like this before. I purchased the French Cade scent, which is described as a "refreshing blend of French cade wood, lavender, and verbena, and moss". And I attest that it's all true. The scent is so relaxing and just permeates the room at the perfect intensity. I will definitely be repurchasing this and some more later this month.

  • S'Well Water Bottle
    • Naturally when I became more conscious of my fitness I also become more mindful of my diet. One thing that was severally lacking was proper water-intake. This lead to a search for the chicest water bottle. And I'm happy to report that I've found it. S'Well water bottle is without a doubt the most stylish bottle on the market, but the best part isn't even its looks.  The bottle can keep your cold water cold for up to 24 hours, get this, without condensation! And if you want to keep hot liquid it'll keep it that way for 12 hours. How amazing is that? And the makers are very eco-friendly and social conscious. Read more here.

Weekend Reading:

What I'm Looking Forward To:

  1. Meeting a dear friend for tea in Midtown.
  2. Travel Planning, more to come on this later.
  3. Finish filing and scanning documents to proper folders, tedious but SOOO important.
  4. Fitness walk/run in the forest, favorite part of my weekends.
  5. Finish reading The Last Lecture. So much inspiration in a tiny book.
  6. And the all important mani/pedi. I'm thinking of adding color, but I'll probably stay neutral, like always.

So what highlights do you have from this week and what are you most excited about for the weekend? Do share in the comments section. And I hope you have the awesomest weekend!

With Love,

Marie
