There are many times I find myself fearing and deeply doubting my goals and dreams. I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard. It's like I refuse to believe that ridiculously awesome and wonderfully amazing things can happen to me. Me! I look around and see where I am and can't fathom how I'm going to get to where I want to be. But then a voice whispers that I'm right where He wants and NEEDS me to be. How is that possible?

God says I am loved, blessed, and highly favored. Me? Yes, me and you. God has designed a unique plan for each of us. His plan for our life is not manifested by force or strength, but by the blessings of the Holy Spirit. God's gift to us is His Holy Spirit. His Spirit is our guide through the thick and thin of life. The Spirit works differently for each of us, but His goal is the same for all of us. To help us reach our purpose.  When I begin to feel inadequate the Spirit reminds me of Psalms 46:5, that He is within me, I will not fail, that He will always be here for me.

So how can we remind ourselves of this when those difficult moments arise?

  1. Pray
    • In the moment, no matter where it is, call on Jesus. Even if all you do is say is His name.
  2. Journal
    • Keeping a journal is a great way to see how God is working in your life. Use small and big wins to combat current fear and doubt.
  3. Talk
    • Speak with someone you value and care about. A family member, best friend, pastor, or mentor.
  4. Introspect
    • Really question why you're feeling what it is you're feeling.
  5. Watch
    • Every week I schedule a day to watch a motivation video and on Wednesdays I watch a sermon. Both help me to keep the momentum going.

Most of all, just be near Him. Seek God in all you do. Just be with Him. That's all we need.

With Love,

Marie
