My favorite part of this week literally just happened before I wrote this post. I was having some internal conflict about a friend and I couldn't figure out why. It's kinda been a problem for some time. As a conflict-resolver this was seriously bothering me. I just couldn't figure out why I felt so uncomfortable about this individual. I've prayed about this and even discussed this with friends and family before, but recently the issue has been lodged in my mind.  I'm the kind of person that has to come to a resolution in order to move on. So I called one of my best friends to discuss it and she hit the nail in the head.

When it comes to relationships I'm all about quality. If you're in my inner circle it means that we communicate (call/text/social media) with each other on a weekly basis. But that was not the case with this particular friend whom I saw as being part of the circle. I didn't have those aspects with the particular friendship. And that's what my best friend helped me to realize.  Just because that friend and I don't communicate weekly doesn't mean we don't value each others friendship. Our friendship is not driven by weekly communication, but by our sincere enjoyment in being in each other lives.  This very simple realization has made all the difference. Now that I've gotten that out the way...

What I'm Most Grateful For:
  • Going to the gym with my big brother. I don't get to do this, really ever, so this was a great bonding moment for us.
What I'm Loving:
  • Getting back to yoga.
  • Moving slower because of the rainy weather.
  • A new book on financial habits.
Weekend Reading:
What I'm Looking Forward To:
  • Catching up with a friend I haven't seen in over a year!
  • Going to a local bookstore.
  • Family dinner and jet-skiing!
  • Planning for the new month.

It feels so good to resolve an issue. As you head into your weekend, I hope you take some time to think about the conflicts you're facing and how you can best find peace with your situation. Sometimes the answer is as simple as it seems.

With Love,

Marie
