3 Steps to a Deeper Walk of Faith

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live... Do you believe this?
John 11:25-26

One of my favorite verses in the Bible comes a bit before the one above, John 10:10. Jesus says I came so that they may have life and have it abundantly. Jesus is life. He came so that you and I can have more and more of Him. I find so much solace and comfort in these words. I want to walk with depth, to give my life true purpose and meaning. And that comes from living a spiritually deep life. So how does one walk deeper with Christ?

Seek His Word
  • God's Word is God. Through Him all good things are made. The more you know His Word the more you'll know Him. There is no better way to know Him and His design for your life without knowing His Word. Set a daily schedule to consult His Word. I've been doing the She Reads Truth Bible in the Year and I recommend it to all my friends.
Cultivate a Prayer Life
  • Prayer is our means of communicating to God. I love praying. It draws me closer to the Holy Spirit and lifts my spirit, because I know He's listening and He cares. There's no perfect way to pray, just open your heart to Him. Pray in the morning, at noon, at night. Seek Him continually. Even if you're only saying hi.
Meditate
  • This is my daily morning ritual. Spend at least 5 minutes being still in God's presence. Meditation is a powerful tool. It quiets the mind and the soul and allows God's voice to come through. Spend some quiet time in His presence. Find a corner in your home and make it your little sanctuary. Be it in the morning, maybe at work, or when the house is quiet at night. Whenever you can, go be with Him.

Faith is believing in the unknown, the unseen, the unfathomable. Faith with depth is the daily actions we take to reinforce His presence in our life. A woman of faith walks deeper than her feet could ever wonder.

With Love,

Marie
